This hotel offers fantastic access to California Adventure Park, making it easy to enjoy the attractions. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, but the pool area can get quite crowded. Dining experiences were excellent, particularly at the character breakfast, although the pool service could use improvement. Overall, I felt the luxury of the stay was worth the investment, but certain amenities could be more accessible.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms were spacious and newly refurbished, equipped with convenient USB charging ports everywhere, which was great for our devices. They were extremely quiet, allowing us to relax after busy days in the parks.
Service
8.0
The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, yes, with staff going beyond to help us with directions and carrying luggage. However, there were moments where responsiveness faltered, especially around the pool.
Location
10.0
The location can't be beat! Having a private entrance to California Adventure and being close to Downtown Disney made it easy to manage our time at the parks and enjoy leisurely breaks.
Dining
9.0
Dining at the Storytellers Café for the character breakfast was truly delightful! The food was plentiful and delicious, and the character interactions made it special for our grandson’s birthday celebration.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel has great facilities, though the pool was overcrowded and lacked adequate seating, which was frustrating at times. The design of the pool area is inviting, but it would benefit from better management of lounge chairs.

8.0/10

Our stay at the hotel was largely enjoyable, with the convenience of being close to the parks and spacious rooms being definite highlights. The staff were incredibly helpful and made us feel special during our visit. However, our experience with dining, particularly the Club Level service, left much to be desired, as it did not meet our expectations. Overall, we appreciated the beautiful scenery around the resort and the comfort of the accommodations, but the pricing for certain experiences didn’t seem justified.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms are beautifully remodeled, spacious, and filled with modern amenities, including plenty of charging ports. They provided a lovely retreat after long days in the park.
Service
9.0
Service was consistently excellent across the board, with staff going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, especially with room service and special requests.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is prime for quick access to Disneyland and California Adventure, allowing us to easily head back to our room for breaks whenever needed.
Dining
5.0
Dining at the Club Level was unfortunately underwhelming, as it did not compare well with our past experiences at other Disney resorts. We had a hard time enjoying the offerings here.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area is luxurious and well-designed, offering a refreshing break from the hustle of the parks, but was crowded during our visit.

7.2/10

The Grand Californian Hotel offers an ideal location for Disney enthusiasts, with quick access to both Disneyland and California Adventure. While the lobby is stunning and the service is commendable, the room quality left me wanting more, especially given the prices. Dining options were decent, but don't expect any complimentary extras during your stay.

Rooms
6.0
I was initially given a small, dark room which felt more like a motel than a luxury hotel. After switching to a better room, I found it more comfortable, but overall the offerings felt somewhat dated and not reflective of a high-end Disney property.
Service
7.0
The service was generally prompt and courteous, but I experienced multiple delays with housekeeping, particularly regarding the removal of room service trays.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is one of its best features; having a private entrance to California Adventure and being steps away from Downtown Disney makes it incredibly convenient.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were average, with some meals being on the pricey side, but the quality didn’t always meet expectations. I did enjoy some of the character dining, but overall, the variety and value were a bit lacking.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel has lovely facilities including beautiful decorations for the holiday season and a nice pool area, but there was a noticeable absence of complimentary refreshments which detracted from the experience.

7.2/10

The Grand Californian Resort offers stunning architecture and convenient access to Disneyland and California Adventure Park, making it a great choice for Disney fans. However, the room size and club service experience fell short of expectations for the price. Dining at the Storyteller's Café was enjoyable, but dining options could be more varied. The overall experience was nice, but the hefty price tag made it less appealing for frequent visitors.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were a bit small compared to other hotels, offering just the basics. They were acceptable but did not feel luxurious given the high price point.
Service
5.0
Service was inconsistent; while some staff members were helpful, others seemed unfriendly and unhelpful during our stay. It's a mixed bag.
Location
10.0
The location is unbeatable, as it features its own entrance to California Adventure Park, making access to the parks incredibly easy.
Dining
8.0
Dining at the Storyteller's Café was delightful, with a character breakfast that was both fun and enjoyable. However, the options could be more diverse.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were generally well-kept, though they didn't stand out as particularly special. The hotel pool looked inviting, although we didn't use it.

The hotel has an amazing location with direct access to California Adventure, making it easy to pop in and out of the parks. The staff interactions were mostly friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and equipped with plenty of charging locations. However, I faced a long wait during check-in, and the dining options could use improvement as they felt overpriced for what was offered.

Rooms
8.0
The room was clean and equipped with plenty of charging ports and USB connections, making it easy for our devices while we were in the parks.
Service
9.0
The staff was warm and polite, going out of their way to assist, especially at the pool cabanas.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is perfect, allowing quick access to both Disneyland and Downtown Disney.
Dining
5.0
Our dining experience was somewhat lackluster, with meals being overly expensive for the quality.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was beautiful but lacked enough chairs and shade for guests, which made it challenging during peak times.
